ISSUED BY PRISM SMART HOME
These 'Terms and Conditions' govern the use of Prism Smart Home Assessment Tool and include the supply of products by Smart Home Solutions Limited. Prism Smart Home is a New Zealand business, that distributes security cameras, LED lighting and home automation products.
BACK ORDERS
We will endeavor to advise you if any product is out of stock as soon as possible after receiving your order. If any product you order is temporarily out of stock it will be placed on back order. We will advise you of the expected dispatch date either by phone, email or mail. Please note: Any balance payable for your order will be required upon delivery.
INSTALLATION
If installation is included, this will be shown on your order. Prism Smart Home have a team of Approved Prism Smart Home Installers. When choosing an Approved Installer, you will benefit from a 12 Month Workmanship Guarantee.
Any estimate provided by Prism Smart Home or installation included on your order, is for the 'like for like' replacement of existing lights with LED lights. When purchasing an Installation package, installation on a ‘like for like’ basis is included. Installation does not cover the cost of additional wiring, switches, making safe any unsafe circuits or any other work required to provide a 'like for like' service. Any additional costs for these services or any services over and above 'like for like' replacement will be payable by you directly to the Installer. Prism Smart Home will not be liable for any of these additional charges.
RECOMMENDED INSTALLERS
Our recommended installers are subject to change based on their workload and new installers becoming available in various regions. Contact us at support@prismlighting.co.nz to find out about the approved installer for your region.
INSULATION
All downlights sold by us for residential purposes are either rated IC, IC-F or IC-4. This means they can safely be covered by approved types of thermal ceiling insulation.

The products and services as specified in this order must be paid for in full before the goods or services are supplied unless otherwise stipulated in the order
PRODUCT PRICING
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) and include GST (15% sales tax). All prices are correct at time of publication; however we reserve the right to alter prices for any reason. If this should happen after you have ordered any products but before we have processed your order, we will contact you prior to processing your order.
PAYMENT SECURITY
Prism Smart Home use the secure Hosted Payment page solution from Paymark to process orders. Customers can see their cards being authorised and debited in real time, all in a SSL secure environment. The Hosted Payment page enables us to offer customers a safe and speedy payment experience. DPS is committed to protecting the security of your data. DPS use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, DPS store the personal information you provide in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities secured by the latest in surveillance and security technology. When we transmit sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers) over the internet, DPS protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Credit card details stored on site are encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. DPS is also certified AIS compliant.
DISCLAIMER
Prism Lighting and its affiliates shall not be liable to you or any third parties for any direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages allegedly sustained arising out of your access to or inability to access the Service. This includes viruses alleged to have been obtained from the Service, your use of or reliance on the Service or any of the information or materials available on the Service, regardless of the type of claim or the nature of the cause of action.
OWNERSHIP
Ownership in the products shall pass to you once we have received full payment of all amounts due to us in relation to the relevant products.
WARRANTY
In the unlikely event that a product you have purchased from Prism Smart Home becomes faulty, we are committed to meeting our obligations under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).
The following warranties are in addition to your rights under New Zealand Consumer Law:
PRODUCT WARRANTY
Applies to LED lighting, security cameras and smart home automation products purchased from Prism Smart Home purchased in New Zealand for residential and commercial use. Prism Smart Home for two years for residential and commercial premises that, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions below, the products will be free from defects due to defective factory workmanship or materials.
PRISM EXTENDED WARRANTY
When purchasing from an Approved Prism Smart Home Consultant you will be entitled to a complimentary Extended Warranty for residential use only. The Extended Warranty period for downlights and bulbs is 5 Years.
PRISM EXTENDED WARRANTY
When purchasing from an Approved Prism Smart Home Consultant you are entitled to a Prism 7 Year Extended Warranty on selected downlights. A Prism Smart Home 7 Year Warranty applies strictly to residential use at the original residential premises that your Prism products were installed, and only if your Prism products were installed by an Approved Prism Smart Home Installer. The 7 Year Warranty extends the standard Prism Warranty to cover the period that the person who purchased the Prism products continues to reside at the premises in which they were installed. This warranty only covers the replacement or repair of any faulty downlight. In the case that the same model is no longer available we will provide a similar replacement.
RETURNS/CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@prismlighting.co.nz.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at and send your item to: Prism Lighting, 2/27 Norton Road, Frankton, Hamilton 3204.
Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Prism Lighting, 2/27 Norton Road, Frankton, Hamilton 3204
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
